Rotary Fundraising
Bloomfield NY Rotary Club
Our Mission: “The Bloomfield Rotary Club is committed to be a dynamic and collaborative service organization, whose initiatives, programs and projects enrich lives both locally and globally.” The many and varied charitable causes of our club are primarily funded by several fundraising efforts held throughout the year. Our effort to make the world a better place, one community at a time, is fueled by your support.
For an annual subscription price, volunteers will place a large 3×5-foot American Flag on an 8-foot pole in front of your house on four major national holidays
Join your neighbors in proudly displaying the American Flag in front of your home on major national holidays. You can sign up at any time throughout the year.

Chicken BBQ
Once again we will be presenting our annual Chicken Barbecue in conjunction with the world-famous “Steele Gang”…alright, locally famous, anyway!
Last year, our drive through sold 400 half-chicken dinners in 45 minutes, so this year, get there early, or better yet, pre-order your tickets!
We are targeting April for this outstanding event, so stay tuned for more information!
TasteFest 2021
Our annual tasting extravaganza was canceled in 2020 due to COVID, but we are hopeful that it will be back, bigger and better than ever in 2021!
For over two and a half decades, we have brought in wineries, breweries, as well as local vendors of honey, mustard, maple syrup, and other epicurean delights to tempt the palate. All for tasting and for sale as well! The fun also includes live music, raffles, and a silent auction. Stay tuned for more information.
“It’s A Wonderful Life”
This year we present the timeless and beloved holiday classic, performed as a Stage Radio Show, at the brand new, state of the art FORT HILL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, in Canandaigua!
Once again, our annual holiday show will be directed by award winning director, Gregory Cicchino, from LA and NYC and will feature a cast from local talent and the Monsignor Schnacky Community Players. The dates are Friday December 3 and Saturday December 4, 2021.

Our History
Your Bloomfield Rotary Club is part of Rotary International, the world’s first service club organization, which was founded in 1905. Today, Rotary has more than 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries worldwide. Rotary International is one of only two organizations (the other being the International Red Cross) that has a PERMANENT seat at the United Nations!
Rotary club members are volunteers, from all walks of life, who work locally, regionally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace and eradicate polio under the motto “SERVICE ABOVE SELF.”
In their lives and businesses, members practice THE FOUR WAY TEST (OF THE THINGS WE THINK, SAY OR DO):
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
We apply these principles to our projects locally, regionally and internationally.
The Rotary Club of Bloomfield, NY, was founded in 1972 and takes pride in the good it does in our community and in the world. In the past decade alone, we have contributed over $100,000 to our many and varied charitable causes. Among many other projects, we have assisted in countries all over the world, have worked to eliminate polio from the face of the earth, have sent, and have hosted exchange students from around the globe, have renovated the youth baseball fields in Bloomfield, have spearheaded and funded the “Backpack Program” in Bloomfield, and have honored high school “students of the month” for years. We partner with such wonderful organizations as Family Promise of Ontario County (for homeless children and their families) and Ontario ARC (for persons with developmental disabilities), not to mention strong partnerships with the Bloomfield Lions Club and the Bloomfield Central School District. WE ARE PEOPLE OF ACTION!
